Applying The Bible to Life

Trust

I am sorry I did not write yesterday. I was super busy; I received some good and bad news yesterday. The bad news could end up meaning I have to stop blogging but the good news is even better. I could be co-leader to a worship on Saturday Nights here in the city in which I live with an old college friend. I am super excited about this! If you trust in the Lord, great things will happen.

Trust is a big problem for me. I live by the motto DTA: Don’t Trust Anyone. Well I changed that motto too: Don’t Trust Anyone Except the Lord. God will never give up on you. He will never lie to you. He will hurt you sometimes but it’s only for your own good. I have been a liar my whole life. I lied to many people and it led to them being hurt. I hate myself for hurting those people, especially my last-girlfriend.

Like I said I was a liar. I lied all the time. I lied to those I loved and I lied to those I did not even know. I soon began to realize that I needed to be honest. Life is much easier when you don’t lie. You don’t have to remember your lies because all you will know is the truth. So just be honest and if you can’t be honest then you shouldn’t do it in the first place. My marketing professor always told me, if you don’t want it on the front page of the U.S. Today, don’t do it.

The Lord does not like those who lie. He is happy with those who tell the truth (Proverbs 12:21-22). No matter what lie it is you have told, be upfront about it and ask for forgiveness to the Lord and the person. When your to afraid to be honest to that person you love, because your scared to hurt them, trust in the Lord (Psalms 56:3). I failed at this plenty; I did not trust in the Lord. I was too scared to speak of my sins. I always thought in my mind what they don’t know won’t hurt them. BUT THAT’S A LIE! We are all sinners and we need to understand this and accept it. Don’t just trust in those around you but trust in the Lord. He will not leave you; he will not lie to you but your friends may (Isaiah 2:22). God makes everything happen in your life for some reason. No matter how bad it seems or happy it makes you, God has a destiny for you. Praise the Lord because you trust in him, Give him the Glory! Those who walk around silent are not with God. They do not praise him for his Glory. But, I will. I am a sinner and Christ is my Savior!

21 The Lord will keep good people safe, but evil people will have troubles. 22 The Lord hates people who tell lies, but he is pleased with those who tell the truth. (Proverbs 12:21-22 ERV)

3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in You. (Psalms 56:3 NIV)

22 Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breathe in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem? (Isaiah 2:22 NIV)

11 But the king will rejoice in God. All who trust in him will praise him, while liars will be silenced. (Psalms 63:11 NLT)

Until Tomorrow World….. I Still Love You!

God Bless
